Thanks for playing Cheel Uri Kawwa Ura.
How to play
- Everyone puts one finger on their coloured pad and keeps it there.
- The caller shouts a word: “cheel uri!” (the kite flew), “kawwa ura!” (the crow flew), “hathi ura!” (the elephant flew).
- If the thing can fly, lift your finger. First one up wins the round.
- If it can’t fly, keep your finger down. Lift on an elephant and you lose 100 points.
Scoring
- Party mode: correct lifts score by finishing order. First gets 100, second 60, third 35, fourth 20, then 10.
- Solo mode: faster lifts score more, from 100 for an instant lift down to 10 at the edge of the window.
- Lifting on a non-flyer, or before the word, costs 100.
- Three correct rounds in a row adds a 20 point streak bonus.
Tips
- Keep your hand off the glass apart from one fingertip. A resting palm can be read as a touch.
- Sliding your finger out of your pad counts as a lift.
- For five or six players use an iPad. iPhones track up to four fingers reliably.
- Turn off “Show the word on screen” in Settings for an audio-only challenge.
